Sales Executive, Sponsorship and Membership

About ETA

The Enterprise Technology Association (ETA) is a national, mission-driven membership organization accelerating America’s AI and emerging technology adoption. We are on a mission to train and upskill one million Americans in AI, cyber, quantum, and emerging technology by 2030. We do this through a fast-growing portfolio of programs — AI Week (the country’s fastest-growing AI event series), the US AI Congress, the National AI Accelerator, AI Ready America, and a national network of members, partners, and expert advisors. ETA is where national strategy meets local execution.

The Role

ETA is hiring an experienced, self-driven sales hunter to win sponsorship and membership revenue across our national programs. This is a new-business role: you will spend your time prospecting, opening doors, and closing — selling sponsorship and partnership packages tied to AI Week, the US AI Congress, the Future Tech Forum, and our year-round content, and growing ETA’s membership base from Explorer to PRO and organizational memberships. ETA will supply some qualified leads and warm introductions, but the majority of your pipeline will be self-sourced. This is an individual-contributor position with no direct reports; your job is to hunt, build relationships, and bring in revenue.

What You’ll Do

  • Hunt for new business — proactively prospect, network, and generate your own pipeline of sponsors, partners, and members; ETA will supplement with some qualified leads and warm introductions.

  • Own and exceed annual sponsorship and membership revenue targets with a well-forecasted, self-built pipeline.

  • Sell sponsorship and partner packages across ETA’s event portfolio (AI Week, US AI Congress, Future Tech Forum) and digital/content properties — prospecting, customizing proposals, presenting, negotiating, and closing.

  • Grow membership across tiers — individual (Explorer, PRO) and organizational/enterprise — through outbound sales, inbound conversion, and upsell.

  • Develop multi-year sponsor and member relationships, driving renewals and retention as aggressively as new business.

  • Partner with marketing and events teams on sponsorship inventory, pricing, and packaging so offerings stay competitive and clearly communicate ETA’s value.

  • Represent ETA at events, conferences, and networking functions to generate leads, deepen relationships, and raise brand awareness.

  • Maintain accurate records, forecasts, and activity reporting in the CRM, and provide regular pipeline and revenue updates to leadership.

What You’ll Bring

  • A true hunter mentality — proven success self-sourcing pipeline and closing new business, not just managing existing accounts or inbound demand.

  • Proven experience in sponsorship sales, membership/B2B sales, partnerships, or association revenue, with a track record of meeting or exceeding quota.

  • Demonstrated ability to run a full sales cycle independently — from cold outreach through close and renewal — across many concurrent accounts.

  • Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and presentation skills, and comfort engaging senior corporate and institutional decision-makers.

  • Experience selling event sponsorships, memberships, or partnerships strongly preferred; familiarity with the technology, AI, or innovation ecosystem is a plus.

  • Excellent self-management, organization, and time management; thrives working independently in a fast-moving, mission-driven environment.

  • CRM proficiency and a data-informed approach to pipeline and forecasting.

  • Willingness to travel to ETA events and client meetings as needed.
