Educators told us what they needed, and Cincy AI Week proved the demand. The AI For Educators track drew classroom teachers, district leaders, and higher education faculty into hands-on sessions built around a single question: how do we bring AI into teaching and learning in a way that is practical, responsible, and ready for Monday morning? Today we are turning that energy into a lasting program. The Enterprise Technology Association is launching AI Empowered Educators, a new certification designed for the people who shape how the next generation learns.

Why this program, and why now

AI is already in classrooms, whether schools have a plan for it or not. Educators are being asked to guide students through tools that are changing every month, often without training, clear policy, or time to experiment. AI Empowered Educators closes that gap. The program meets teachers where they are, builds genuine fluency rather than fear, and gives them a credential that signals real, applied capability.

This is part of a larger commitment. AI Empowered Educators extends the same education, enablement, and ecosystem approach that powers the AI Ready state and regional programs, now focused squarely on the people responsible for teaching it.

What educators will learn

The curriculum is built around classroom reality, not abstract theory. Workshops move from foundational understanding to confident, ethical application.

Foundations

How AI tools work, what they can and cannot do, and the vocabulary educators need to lead conversations with students, parents, and administrators.

Classroom Practice

Designing lessons, assignments, and assessments with AI in the loop. Saving time on planning, differentiation, and feedback without losing the human core of teaching.

Responsible Use

Academic integrity, data privacy, bias, and age-appropriate guidelines, so educators can set policy with clarity and confidence.

Leading Forward

Helping colleagues, departments, and districts adopt AI thoughtfully, and mentoring students to use these tools as creators rather than shortcuts.

Three ways to take part

AI Empowered Educators is built to be accessible wherever educators already are. The same workshops and certification path are offered across three channels.

At AI Week

In-person workshops at AI Week conferences nationwide, building on the AI For Educators track that launched at Cincy AI Week.

Online

Self-paced and live virtual workshops through the ETA community portal, so educators can earn the certification on their own schedule.

In Your State or Region

Delivered through participating AI Ready state and regional websites, tied to local education and workforce partners.

Built on a proven model

AI Empowered Educators draws on the approach behind the AI Ready programs that have certified thousands of professionals and continue to expand. The same emphasis on hands-on learning, applied skills, and measurable outcomes now reaches the classroom. Educators who complete the program join a growing community of practitioners, with ongoing resources, peer connections, and a credential they can carry into any school, district, or institution.

Bring AI Empowered Educators to your school

Whether you are a teacher ready to get certified, a district leader planning ahead, or a partner who wants to host workshops, we want to hear from you.

Get in Touch

The AI For Educators track at Cincy AI Week showed what is possible when educators are given the tools and the trust to lead. AI Empowered Educators makes that opportunity permanent and puts it within reach of every classroom. Watch this space and the AI Week conference schedule for the first wave of workshop dates.
